Brittas Tea Parties

About Your Hostess

Once upon a time there was a little Iowa girl with big dreams. She dreamt of having the perfect little family, meeting famous celebrities, and one day owning a Victorian tea room.

Meet Britta Lee Zweibohmer, the little girl who is now all grown up and living her dreams. Britta is best known for her many years in radio broadcasting. She spent eleven years as a morning show personality with KHAK Radio in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and twice received national recognition as finalist for "Personality of the Year" by the Country Music Association. She also served as News Director for K-Hawk. It was an exciting career in which she was able to meet and interview many famous people. President George Bush, Dr. Joyce Brothers, G. Gordon Liddy, Garth Brooks, Faith Hill, and the list goes on and on. She has albums overflowing with photos of well known people she was fortunate to have met.

In addition to her on-air work, she hosted many programs, concerts, and charity events such as Broadway Maybies, the Childrens Miracle Network Radio-a-thon, an Olympic torch running event, and a local cable t.v. show. Her voice can still be heard on several instructional videos nationwide.

Britta is originally from Sioux City, Iowa, and is a graduate of Heelan High School and Briar Cliff University. She spent four years at home town radio stations before relocating to eastern Iowa. After a whirlwind romance, she married her husband, Travis, in 1998. He is a Senior Program Manager at Saft America. Britta's priorities changed dramatically after the birth of their son, Matthew, in 1999. He was pre-mature and weighed only two pounds. It was then that she decided to be a stay-at-home mom.

In 2001, they were blessed with their daughter, Kelsey. The family of four lived in Hiawatha, Iowa for several years before relocating to Jacksonville Florida in 2012. The home is filled with antique china, vintage vases, and old gilded frames. Britta has always had a love for all things Victorian and dreams of one day opening a Victorian tea room. In the mean time, she is quite content raising her children and hosting tea parties.

She ensures that each and every party is a "feast for the eyes" as well as the stomach, and prides herself that no two parties are ever alike.

Britta goes to great lengths to personalize each event and decorates to compliment the surroundings. She loves what she does and it shows! Please view recent pictures in the tea party photo gallery.
